Sage - Sclary essential oil is used in aromatherapy to help relieve premenstrual tension (PMS), menopausal symptoms and to help calm nerves.
Topical (Adults) Mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil; apply locally 3 times a day.
Inhalation (Nervous syst.) Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly for 5-10 minutes.
Native to Southern Europe and Western Asia, Clary Sage is mainly grown in countries with a temperate climate for its leaves and their aromatic and medicinal qualities. In perfumery, it is used as a fixative. The essential oil is obtained by distilling its leaves and blossoms.
